“The mission that the Church, with great hope, entrusts to Catholic Universities holds a cultural and religious meaning of vital importance because it concerns the very future of humanity.”
Catholic Studies is both a field of study and a movement within Catholic higher education. As a field of study, students at various institutions are able to enrich their understanding of the world through a Catholic lens. As a movement, Catholic Studies Centers and Programs exist to revitalize, reinvigorate, and enhance the Catholic identity and mission of Catholic institutions of higher learning. Ultimately, Catholic Studies is a community of scholars - students, faculty, and administrators -seeking to integrate the rich traditions of the Church into life and culture.
Our annual symposium is scheduled for September 5-7, 2024 at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ!
